Dr. Prachi Ghoderao
Principal Investigator
Dr.Prachi Ghoderao is an MSCA-Polonez fellow (2023) at Poznan University of Medical Science. She has also received a prestigious Fondecyt fellowship from Govt. of Chile (2023). Earlier, she worked at the nanobiomedical center, at Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, Poland. She has completed a master’s in analytical chemistry from the University of Pune and was awarded a Ph.D. (2021) from the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, Pune, India, in the area of development of drug nanoparticle complexes to improve drug efficacy. In her Ph.D. tenure, she received the “Jyotiba Phule National Research Fellowship” awarded by BARTI, Pune, India. Her research interests focus on materials chemistry, nanotechnology, cancer research, and drug delivery.
Professor Hanna Dams-Kozlowska
Mentor
Hanna Dams-Kozlowska is a professor at Poznan University of Medical Science (PUMS) and the head of the Lab at the Greater Poland Cancer Centre, Poznan, Poland. She graduated in 1995 from the University of Adam Mickiewicz (Poland), obtained PhD in 2000 at PUMS, completed a three-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Tufts University, Boston (USA), and finished her habilitation in 2016. Since 2022, she has been a full professor. Author of 44 articles, with a total number of IFs over 170, h-index 19. Mentored 9 PhD projects and over 30 diploma theses. Holder of two patents, head of three NCN projects, and recipient of many awards, including an Award from the Prime Minister for PhD thesis. Her prime research area of interest relates to using bioengineered proteins based on spider silk in oncology, including studying the effectiveness of bioengineering silk spheres in the targeted drug delivery for cancer treatment.
Marta Krueger
Administrative Assistant
She is an archaeologist by profession, and has worked at the PUMS in the Department of Science, Project Acquisition and International Cooperation since 2023. Her main task in the project is to support the PI in matters related to the administrative and financial aspects of the project and to be a guide through the world of bureaucracy.
